BrightStart Children's Academy, winner of the 2011 Now Reader's Choice Award (for Coquitlam daycares), serves families in the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody) and Maple Ridge by providing childcare and early learning for children aged 12 mos to 12 years.

Our programs include: infant and toddler care, 3-5 yr old full day daycare, preschool and out of school care for school aged children. We have two licensed campuses - each is large and spacious enough to accomodate 75-80 children, of all ages, in all programs. Siblings will be able to attend together and moving from one program to the other will be uninterrupted.

Every child has great potential. We work together with parents to nurture your child’s growth, so that your child can feel positive about himself, his contributions and accomplishments. Child-initiated emergent curriculum, stimulating activities, structured and unstructured time, learning thru play • all make possible the development of a happy, whole child.

The Riverwood Gate Campus is located in North Port Coquitlam; close to Burke Mountain, Costco, and major commuter routes (Lougheed Highway & Coast Meridian Overpass). The Westwood Plateau Campus is at the intersection of Johnson St & Panorama Drive - close to the David Ave Connector, convenient for Port Moody, Oxford Heights & Burke Mountain residents.

Both campuses are located within residential communities close to local trails, parks and community playgrounds. Inside, our rooms are upbeat and cheery with large windows for maximum natural light and vibrant wall colours to stimulate the imagination. Outside, children can play and learn amongst our fruit trees, seasonal gardens, and playground areas.
